Tim Braüner has been named as Director of International A&R, Warner Music Nordics and Warner Music Denmark.
The music industry veteran will be returning to Denmark after recently serving in New York as Vice President of A&R for Atlantic Records.
Effective February 1, 2024, Braüner will be based in Copenhagen as part of the domestic A&R team.
He will report to the incoming leader of Warner Music Denmark and will work closely with Mark Fry, President, Warner Music Nordics, and the territory heads of Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Braüner’s role also includes supporting Warner Music artists from across the Nordics in cross-cultural collaborations with artists worldwide.
Having started his career at Warner Music Denmark in 2016, Braüner spent his first two years as an A&R Manager, signing multiple artists, including Faustix, Nicklas Sahl, and Soleima.
“I’ve always known that one day, when the timing and opportunity was right, I’d return home to the Nordics.”

In 2018, Atlantic Records appointed Braüner to join their team in New York as the Senior Director of A&R for its imprint Big Beat Records.
Over his five years with Atlantic, he was promoted to Vice President of A&R, contributing to the success of multi-platinum artists such as CKay, Major League DJz, Studio Killers, and Surf Curse. He also played a key role in A&Ring Tiësto and Karol G’s global hit Don’t Be Shy and worked on projects for artists like Major Lazer and Ty Dolla $ign.
Reflecting on his return to the Nordics, Braüner said: “I’ve always known that one day, when the timing and opportunity was right, I’d return home to the Nordics. I’m so grateful to have spent the past five years working at Atlantic with A&R powerhouses such as Craig, Pete, Jeff and Gina.
“All these people shaped me into the A&R I am today. Now I’ll share my experience with all our A&R teams in Denmark and the rest of the Nordics, helping create many more great export stories from the region by connecting our artists with the right collaborators around the world.’’
“We’ll be working closely together to ensure that Nordics remains a major repertoire centre for Warner Music and a go-to partner for our colleagues around the world.”
Mark Fry, Warner Music Nordics
Mark Fry, President, Warner Music Nordics, added: “It’s great to have Tim back in the Nordics. We were so proud when he was tapped by Atlantic for an A&R job in New York and now he’s back with five years’ experience and a wealth of connections that’ll help him super serve our artists.
“We’ll be working closely together to ensure that Nordics remains a major repertoire centre for Warner Music and a go-to partner for our colleagues around the world.”
Braüner’s appointment follows the promotion of Ramona Forsström to Managing Director of Warner Music Finland from General Manager, succeeding Niko Nordström, who stepped down as MD, Warner Music Finland and EVP, Warner Music Nordics.
