Downtown Music Holdings-owned B2B distributor FUGA has partnered with Berlin-based Artist Management and Label Services agency, Odyssey Music Network.
Continuing its expansion within the GSA region, FUGA has also struck a partnership with Vienna-based label and management company, Phat Penguin.
The new deal with Odyssey Music Network will see FUGA providing both digital and physical distribution for the company’s roster, as well as marketing services including content management across YouTube and access to FUGA’s trends and analytics platform and sync offering.
Odyssey Music Network’s roster includes Royal Republic, Asaf Avidan, Heather Nova and Apocalyptica – the latter selling over 6 million albums worldwide and accumulating over 400 million streams.
Odyssey also works with emerging German talent including Power Plush, Saint Chaos and Blond with Power Plush and Blond nominated this year for a VUT and Preis für Popkultur award, respectively.
FUGA’s new partnership with Vienna-based label and management company Phat Penguin, which counts electronic act Kruder & Dorfmeister as part of its roster.
The new deal will see FUGA handling global digital distribution and marketing strategy services for the company, including digital account management.
FUGA also says that Phat Penguin will use its content management services across YouTube and will get access to the company’s sync and analytics offering.
Founded in late 2017 by Benjamin Bruest and Hannes Eder, the former Managing Director of Universal Music Austria, Phat Penguin works with Austrian talent across its label and artist management services. Its roster includes Buntspecht, Felix Kramer, Lahra and emerging newcomers, Leftovers.
