ADA UK, part of Warner Music Group’s artist and label services division, has signed a global distribution deal with record company NEVER SEVEN.
The label is is co-founded with UROK’s Sam Eldridge, and is both co-founded and led by music curator and artist manager Jasmine Srih and marketing and A&R exec George Quann-Barnett.
Srih has been working in the music industry for six years within artist management, undertaking roles at Universal Music Group, Ninja Tune and Boiler Room.
Quann-Barnett, meanwhile, has a decade’s worth of music industry experience, operating within the independent space as well as Universal Music. He also formerly ran the independent Grime label Launchpad.
The first two releases from NEVER SEVEN will be Hurricane Belle, the EP from Joviale, and Claire, the debut EP from San Francisco-based Kezia.
The announcement follows news that WMUK and ADA have signed a distribution deal with Sam Eldridge and Becky Richardson’s Foundation FM Records, an offshoot of the London-based community radio station Foundation FM.
Foundation FM was created to help address gender bias and boundaries in broadcast and champion female talent in the underground music scene.
