Management, record label and publishing company Funfair Records, founded by former Syco Managing Director Tyler Brown, has formed a marketing and distribution deal with artist services company AWAL.
Backed by Coran Capshaw and James Sandom at Red Light Management, Funfair’s inaugural release, Lauren (I Can’t Stay Forever) by Oden & Fatzo achieved Silver certification in the UK, amassing 70 million streams and securing its place as the anthem of Ibiza in 2022.
Funfair also dropped AH TXE TXE by Giant ft Tyson in May, garnering over 7 million streams and inspiring more than 300,000 creations on TikTok. It’s also making an impact on Spotify and Shazam charts across Portugal, France, Belgium, and The Netherlands, said Funfair.
August witnessed the release of Grind Pon Mi by FS Green, a track that gained attention on TikTok, propelling it onto multiple viral streaming charts worldwide, amassing over 2 million streams in under three weeks.
Funfair’s latest addition to its roster, Tommy Farrow’s debut record, was named the “Hottest Record in the World” by BBC Radio 1 in the UK.
Upcoming releases from Funfair Records include tracks from Zac Samuel, Ryan Resso, Ronnie Pacitti, Il Blu, Sistek ft Parson James, and Supermortals.
The label has also bolstered its team with the addition of Ben Hood, formerly of RCA Records, stepping in as Senior A&R Manager, and Brad Bennett, joining as Marketing Manager from Sony Music Entertainment. The duo works in tandem with A&R Manager Gus Bell, alongside resources within Red Light and AWAL.
“I couldn’t have wished for a better long term partner alongside Red Light. It’s been a great start for our young & passionate team but we’re now ready to take on the world.”

“Respect to Matt Riley & Paul Hitchman, AWAL for believing in our vision and ambition for Funfair Records. I couldn’t have wished for a better long term partner alongside Red Light. It’s been a great start for our young & passionate team but we’re now ready to take on the world,” said Tyler Brown, founder of Funfair Records & Management.
James Sandom, Red Light, UK COO, Managing Partner, added: “Tyler’s entrepreneurial vision and focus on commercial success is magnetic, we are enjoying the first steps in this partnership and seeing results out of the gate with Funfair Records.
“The label’s ability to move instantly in a fast-paced environment with AWAL and Red Light’s support is already delivering. We’re excited for a successful future together.”

Brown was appointed MD at Syco in 2016 after serving as Head of A&R.
With the AWAL partnership, Funfair artists are expected to benefit from AWAL’s offerings that, according to its MD Matt Riley, have helped artists go from “nought to a billion streams.”
To date, AWAL has worked with artists like Bruno Major, Rex Orange County and Tom Misch.
Icelandic and Chinese singer-songwriter Laufey recently joined AWAL’s roster. AWAL says Laufey is bringing jazz to Gen Z, “exposing new fans in all corners of the globe to what is often seen as an inaccessible genre.” She currently has nearly 11.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
