Beatport is an online retailer and subscription streaming service that specializes in electronic music.
Beatport’s products include Beatport LINK, its integrated streaming subscription product for DJs, as well as Beatsource LINK, a service targeted towards the open-format DJ community.
The Beatport Store offers music in premium digital formats – as well as music discovery tools – for DJs.
Each week, Beatport’s music collection is refreshed with hundreds of exclusive tracks by the world’s top electronic music artists. Beatport has offices in Los Angeles, Denver and Berlin.
Ingrooves founder Robb McDaniels took over as CEO of Beatport in 2017.
Loopmasters acquisition
In December 2020, Beatport announced it had acquired UK-based company Loopmasters for an undisclosed fee.
With that acquisition, Beatport ingested the UK firm’s two consumer brands – Loopcloud (which provides sound packs via a subscription service) and Plugin Boutique (which sells music plug-ins).
