Mary Viscomi has been appointed Head of Music at Manchester, UK-based financial company, Voly.
Viscomi will be based in London and report to Voly CEO Ian Flanagan, who founded the company in 2016.
The new role is effective immediately.
Viscomi joins Voly from her former position as Operations Director at international talent management company YMU.
Alongside overseeing all aspects of the Voly’s music industry activities, she will be focused on recruiting a full support team to help drive its growth.
This appointment follows the recent announcement of former YMU Founder and CEO Neil Rodford as a Board Director, with a remit to oversee the company’s wider entertainment strategy.
Voly soft launched in September 2021, and says that it is aimed at “simplifying and streamlining budgeting, accounting processes and reporting for artists, managers and business managers”.
Voly will operate on a monthly subscription model, and is being trialled by several unnamed UK music companies.
It is currently inviting applications to participate in a free trial for the remainder of 2021, before it plans to officially launch in early 2022.
