Mike Caren’s Artist Publishing Group (APG) has signed a publishing deal with writer and producer WZRD BLD, (Drew Fulk).
Los Angeles-based APG, best known for its work in pop and hip-hop, has also announced its intention to expand its focus to the Alternative and Rock genres.
Fulk has had five No.1 songs at mainstream rock radio as well as multiple cuts on Lil Peep’s Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2.
Founded in 2006, Artist Publishing Group is a sister music company to Caren’s Artist Partner Group, which launched in 2013.
Warner Music Group and Atlantic Records, with whom Caren worked for more than 20 years, made a multi-million dollar investment into Artist Partner Group in 2016.
APG’s JV with Warner and Atlantic saw the emergence of APG-signed artists such as Alec Benjamin, Ava Max, Bazzi, Charlie Puth, Don Toliver, Kehlani, Kevin Gates, Lil Skies, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and others.
Artist Partner Group became a fully independent enterprise last year following a deal between Caren and WMG which saw APG’s recordings catalog and artist roster move inside Atlantic Records.
Caren’s Artist Publishing Group continued to publish artists signed to Atlantic Records such as Pink Sweat$ and Charlie Puth, as well as songwriters and producers not affiliated with Atlantic such as Madison Love, 24k Goldn, Hitmaka, Amy Allen and Derrick Millano.
Artist Publishing Group’s newest signing, Drew Fulk (aka WZRD BLD), has been working with artists such as 347aidan, Kim Dracula, Bankrol Hayden, carolesdaughter, half alive, POORSTACY, Jack Kays, nothing nowhere, Siiickbrain, Highly Suspect, WHOKILLEDXIX, Teddy Swims, whiterosemoxie, and others.
Fulk also founded rock focused publishing company, In The Cut, in 2019 and has already seen multiple No.1s as a publisher.
