Range Media Partners, a music, film and television management company, is launching a music publishing division, which will be led by Casey Robison, former Executive Vice President, A&R at Hipgnosis Songs Group.
Robison, formerly served as Co-President and Partner of Big Deal Music Group, where he oversaw the company’s pop division and helped secure the company’s joint ventures with Nice Life Music (Ricky Reed) and Big Family Music (Julian Bunetta & John Ryan).
At Hipgnosis, Robison oversaw the publicly-traded music IP investment and song management company’s pop division. During his tenure, he collaborated with a roster of songwriters and artists including Monsters and Strangerz (Jordan and Stefan Johnson), John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, Normani, Teddy Geiger, Imad Royal, Dan Wilson, Joe London, and Steph Jones, among others.
Robison started his career in music as an intern at Capitol Records while attending USC. After his graduation, he took on the role of an A&R assistant at Chrysalis Publishing, collaborating with future partners at Big Deal Music – Kenny MacPherson, Jamie Cerreta, and Dave Ayers.
Between his stints at Chrysalis Publishing and Big Deal Music, Robison held the position of Senior Director at BMI in Los Angeles, where he collaborated with artists such as Gary Clark Jr., Foster the People, and Imagine Dragons, the latter of which he signed to BMI.
Additionally, he co-founded the songwriting podcast, And the Writer Is… With Ross Golan.
At Range Media Partners, Robison will lead the publishing division that includes Sam Drake, Federico Morris, Jared Cotter. Within the division, Drake has already signed songwriter Geoff Warburton.

Range Media Partners’ music division is led by Managing Partners Matt Graham, Jack Minihan, Tyler Henry, Melissa Ruderman, Chris Thomas, Evan Winiker, Cory Litwin, and now Shawn McSpadden, along with Partners Michele Harrison, Greg Johnson, Rachel Douglas, Ace Christian, and Joel Zimmerman.

Since its launch two years ago, the music division has launched its own label in partnership with Capitol Music Group (CMG) and Virgin Music & Artist Label Services (Virgin).
Range Media Partners’ entertainment division represents some of the biggest names in entertainment including Bradley Cooper, Keira Knightley, Tom Hardy, M Night Shymalan, Michael Bay, Jack Harlow, PartyNextDoor, Midland, Cordae, Bazzi, Sean Douglas, Wale, HARV and Mariah Carey.
The music division’s artists recently earned seven Grammy nominations, with Nova Wav winning two awards for their production and songwriting work on Beyonce’s Renaissance, and nine No.1 hits.
Over a year ago, media and IP company A+E Networks bought a minority stake in Range Media Partners.
