IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) is the industry’s global body for recorded music.
Headquartered in London and run by CEO Frances Moore, IFPI’s 8,000 members include the three major record companies plus an array of independent record companies and distributors.
IFPI publishes an annual account of the revenue generated by the record industry across the world – its Global Music Report – in addition to other data and analysis-led reports on the business.
The org is also an effective lobbyist for the record industry worldwide.
