The most senior figures at Modest! Management have joined forces with respected British exec Blair McDonald to launch a new publishing company, MBW has learned.
AMLOR Music Publishing says it will ‘provide focused creative services and support for songwriters, producers and artists through publishing and neighbouring rights agreements’.
Based from the offices of Modest! Management in London & Los Angeles, AMLOR will retain ‘complete independence and control over its own copyright, royalties and financing, whilst providing access to a broad international network of talented creative staff, allowing insight and expertise across every area of the music business’.
AMLOR was founded by McDonald alongside Modest! partner Richard Griffiths, Harry Magee and Will Bloomfield.
The foursome say they wanted to create ‘a new type of publisher’ that provides access to the services developed by Modest! – the globally successful management company which has worked with the likes of One Direction, Little Mix and MNEK -in order to ‘benefit the relationship between a songwriter and their publisher’.
Blair McDonald – who will act as Managing Director of the new venture – said: “ I couldn’t be more excited to be launching this new venture with Richard, Harry & Will.
“The music publishing business is rapidly evolving – along with every other area of our business – and the insight into that changing world through the Modest! team, is second to none.”
