Atlas Music Publishing has entered into a joint venture with legendary producer, Quincy Jones, as first reported by Variety.
Jones relationship with Atlas dates back to when key Atlas executives, Richard Stumpf and Phil Cialdella, worked with Jones at Cherry Lane Music.
Atlas was founded by CEO and Partner Richard Stumpf in 2013. The company is home to songs by artists including Ed Sheeran, Drake, Nicki Minaj, John Legend and others, and also administers the catalog of Van Halen, for which Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen signed an exclusive worldwide deal with Atlas in 2015.
Earlier this year, Atlas was acquired by Ithaca Holdings, which is led by SB Projects founder Scooter Braun who counts Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, J. Balvin Zac Brown Band, Dan & Shay and Tori Kelly, among others, as clients.
“Through this joint venture, Atlas is humbled to be able to support Quincy, Adam Fell and the rest of the Quincy Jones team as they bring the best out of young writers, who like us, are drawn to his magic.”
